The Center for Mining Safety & Health Excellence is an active part of the University of Utah Mining Engineering Department. Through this alliance and with the partnership with RMCOEH, the Center can coordinate multiple courses in mine safety & health.

Research Projects Focused on Mine Safety & Health Improvements

Again, as an active part of the Mine Engineering Department, the Center has the ability to lead innovative research efforts specific to the mining industry. Examples include the utilization of virtual reality to enhance mine rescue and emergency operations, development of fatigue management tools predictive analytics and more.

The Center provides skilled professionals to support the mining industry in a number of safety & health related areas. The Center can provide a variety of services and consulting to meet an organizations safety challenges.
